Ayomikun from 2012

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

The Kamakura trip was my favorite as it gave me a great opportunity to experience a side of Japan completely contrary to Tokyo and to spend some recreational time with my classmates.

Which co-curriculum classes did you find most satisfying?

Yosakoi

Why did you select this program?

It best served my purposes and time period. It was also very affordable, unlike several other international schools.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The culture trips and intensive classes were very useful and interesting. I'd say that everything was at least a little bit interesting.

Where did you reside over the course of this program?

Dormitory

Where did you live?

Kasai

Were you pleased with the general living arrangements? Anything you especially liked? Any problems you experienced?

I was pleased. Everything was fine, and the dorm manager was very kind.

Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?

I'd suggest for new students to plan out ahead of time things to want to be sure to do in their time here so they don't leave without doing it. Also, to find some way to keep in touch with your classmates so you can really experience all Tokyo has to offer. Always try to keep an outgoing attitude here.

Testimonials

Going to class every day, and the workload, gave me a sense of what living in Japan would be like. I was able to learn Japanese daily, as well as have enough time in the day to study and explore the country.
