Do KCP Students Have Opportunities to Practice Japanese Outside Class?
Yes. KCP students have many chances to use Japanese outside class.
Because students come from countries such as South Korea, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the United States, English is not always the shared language. Japanese often becomes the common language among classmates.
Students practice through conversations, study groups, dorm life, cultural activities, shopping, restaurants, transportation, and exploring Tokyo. Many students find that friendships with international classmates become one of the most productive ways to build confidence and fluency.
KCP staff and teachers also encourage students to communicate in Japanese as much as possible.
