The overall experience of the trip was enjoyable and widen my views!

Jeffrey from Summer Short 2018

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

The trip to Mt. Fuji, the peach farm, and the temple were all really interesting as they were not activities I would have done if I had come to Japan by myself.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

The English translated grammar book came in very handy when I came across a question in my homework that I was not able to understand in class. I had a lot of trouble remembering all the particles and vocabulary, but the English support sessions and the practice worksheets for those sections were really helpful.

Were you pleased with the general living arrangements? Anything you especially liked? Any problems you experienced?

My overall experience with the dorm has been superb, the owner as well as the staffs were friendly and handworking. The meals they had prepared for us were delicious and nutritious. The room themeselves were a bit crammed, but comfortable. The restrooms and showerrooms were always clean. The access to quick laundry was really nice. The only downside to the dorm was the distance away it was from the school, which was annoying especially on days which I didn’t get enough sleep, but I still had to wake up couple of hours early to make sure I had breakfast, packed up, and enough time to ride on a somewhat crowed train.

Testimonials

I love that the school is in the heart of Tokyo and that all the classes are in Japanese. Since the classes are taught only in Japanese it pushes me to study more.
