I absolutely loved travelling to Yamanashi prefecture with my classmates. I loved being able to travel outside Tokyo and learn more about Japan through that experience.

Which co-curriculum classes did you find most satisfying?

I loved the curry cooking class! I can't wait to cook curry for my friends and family back in America.

What were your goals in attending the KCP program?

My goals were to improve my Japanese and to make lasting relationships with people that share my passion with Japan.

Why did you select this program?

I selected this program because I did not see a single bad review anywhere on the internet. And when compared to other programs, this program had the most reasonable price. I am very happy that I chose this program.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

I found the games most helpful, because it engaged our minds and made us learn in a fun way!

I say it is totally worth it! The things that I've learned, as well as the friendships that I've made with classmates are priceless. I am so thankful for this experience.

Testimonials

Frankly, it seemed like the best. The other programs I looked at were either heavily geared towards Chinese and Korean students or prohibitively expensive. Plus, KCP has a long history and a LOT of alumni who openly praise the program online — and I hope to be among them!
